Southmead Hospital

Conversion into hospital wards

The £1.06 million Southmead Hospital retrofit delivered by Kipling Build over 16 weeks enabled rapid temporary ward expansion by converting existing offices through phased interior reconfigurations for client Briggs & Forrester. Our teams executed essential medical build stages across three wings including new drywall partitions, smoothed wall linings, modular grid ceilings, fire safety compliance, flooring, carpentry and infrastructure to support medical equipment and patient beds. The project exemplified Kipling’s specialty executing transformative institutional spaces within live operational settings through purposeful design carefully navigating the needs of staff and visitors.
